My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Loved teaching and wanted to pursue a teaching career.
2.
Was first in my family to go to college and graduate.
3.
After college couldn't get a job so I ended up scooping ice cream but knew that wasn't what I wanted.
4.
Got a job recruiting for my Alma Mater and thought I could try it until I could teach.
5.
Decided I liked schools and students but maybe teaching wasn't for me.
6.
I found I hated all the travel but still loved working with students.
7.
Got a job at Hobsons teaching and training clients about technology and loved it!

You should stay here and go to community college because we can't send you to school.
How I responded:
I started researching schools who were good in the major I wanted but had a lesser cost so that the price was the same as a community college. I decided to find out more on my own.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
My family did not have money to send me to college so I researched all the schools to find the best school with the best price to reduce the cost.
Having Dyslexia made it harder to study and learn but always using my resources and friends to help me made a difference. I also used many strategies to study and make the material easier for me to consume.
I let this drive me to gain the skills to go farther than my parents in the work field. I knew education was the key to make a career out of what I love.
