My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Jesuit's high school education. Importance of helping others and questioning status quo.
2.
Little paper I got from my grandfather that said "try not to be a man of success but a man of value."
3.
After finishing high school in the US and applying to US colleges, decided to go back to Mexico.
4.
Swimming team coach taught the value of self discipline.
5.
Decided to major in industrial engineering because it was the option that left more doors open.
6.
Still not knowing what to do, went into consulting (McKinsey & Company) to try different things.
7.
Got an MBA at NYU Stern to keep searching.
8.
Found my passion for education through consulting work and decided to move to Tec de Monterrey.

How I responded:
Search inside, if it's not your passion, don't do it. You will regret it and will turn bad for everyone. At the same time, be gentle with your family and explain your reasons. They have expectations and have done a lot for you.
