2.
Then I applied to a million internships because I knew how important it is to have work experience.
3.
Then I was offered an internship to develop a marketing strategy for a start up company.
4.
Finally I learned about Consulting, and networked like crazy until I was offered a job at Deloitte.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Teachers:
"You should major in Accounting. It's the best business degree."
How I responded:
I love business, but I was afraid of any job that would require me to sit behind a desk all day. My mind works more creatively and strategically, and I knew that if I worked hard, I could get a great job with a Marketing degree. My future goal is to be the go-to person to help a company solve its toughest Marketing problems. I studied hard, networked like crazy, and ended up working for a great Company that allows me to pursue my goals.
